Yes, All 10 you who have downloaded this map and especially you 3 who are actually reading this .txt. So here goes: WEAR RED UNDERPANTS! SEND ME A POSTCARD! TRY FOREIGN BEER! And now after you've drunk that beer and wrote me a postcard, I'm going to reveal a secret. This isn't a good map. I made it for fun and for myself. It's tight, there's corners that's pain in the ass, far from onos-friendly etc. But if you happen to find some delight out of it, knock yourself out. Installed NS again and got this urge to create something small. So I made similar secret room that was in old ns_hera (totally blew my mind back then). 27/March/2007 Had to continue to the RR :P did teh ubercool port engine thingy. Started this log, maybe this'll become a whole map. And I'll be famous. FAMOUS. Pondering why mappers hasn't written any journals. It's kinda relaxing. 28/March/2007 #1 F-A-M-O-U-S 28/March/2007 #2 Deleted RR. It sucked. Big Time. Changed project name to a swear word. Current mood: Disappointed in my superior mapping skills. 29/March/2007 Why they've made modeling for HL so ridiculously hard! .smd, reference & sequence files, qc thingamabobs and the whole thing crashes when trying to compile! Not gonna have custom models in this map, then :E 30/March/2007 Made RR again. This time I'm more satasfied :P it has the atmosphere I'm chasing, I think. Tight & unpolished spaceship. I'm getting quite handy in making RRs, this time it took only 5 hours :P 31/March/2007 Got this ingenious idea to replace environment maps with sprite planets and particle system, this way space comes more alive. Sure it'll be strain on server, but anyway :P Oh and made Marine Start somewhat ready. Turned out kinda nice, and without test compiles! Went berserk and hit the wpoly limits, though. But I wasn't aiming for official standards anyway, so it's ok by me. I've always loved micro-tweaking :) Enough mapping. Too much small change in pockets. If everyone goes "WHOOAAAH!", I'll finish this. 5/April/2007 - 16:15 Still no replies. Ignorant pricks. 12/April/2007 Have done only little mapping. Been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R., C&C3 and 8-bit Zelda. Haven't played this much in months. Kinda nice for awhile :P good thing you can download nes games for Wii. Never thought Zelda could still be this addicting. Maybe I should add some Zelda thingies into my map. There's already MegaMan and its annoying tune from Dr. Wily's world... Meh. Download size will go way overboard if I add anymore custom mp3s. 15/April/2007 Itching to do some mapping with souce. But anyways. Made new corridor, almost finished now. needs only hive and 2nd entrance. And some ventilation thingies. Also made some new infestation textures, there's way too little of them. Oh, and decided to do low-grav part aswell. Just shoot the pipe and it'll break, thus disabling the GRAVITY MACHINE. Fun? No. 18/April/2007 Hawked together THE HIVE. I'm kinda disappointed. It lacks the feeling. Particle systems will improve it a bit, but pleh. Some indications of tiredness are showing with this map. I could finish it quickly and it could be nice combat map, but then again I DO have plenty of ideas for whole ns_ maps. .... maybe a mini-size ns_ map. Sieges would be a problem though. Meh. I'll just finish this part of map and see how it feels then. Over and out. 21/April/2007 It's now done. Well the brushwork is done mostly. There's still no vents except one, and honestly, I'm not sure how I could fit in any more :D it's mapped so tight. Fine tuning brushwork here and there, and thinking up some ambient sounds. Might be tonight working on with video of this map. 22/April/2007 Friend-Girl of mine came to visit and had sex while Final Compile was running. Must be a good omen. There's going to be bugs tho. And annoyiance. This brushwork isn't actually most gaming friendly :P but meh. It's done.
