About ----- HALO STATION SECTOR 2B Halo Station is a large facility on a planet towards the far edge of the Ariadne Arm, dedicated to the mining of the planet's rings and study of their unique properties. Sector 2B is an auxilliary research facility attached to the main communications sector, primarily focused on analysis of anomalous samples mined from the planet's rings. In one particular case, the anomaly turned out to be a Kharaa infestation, prompting the immediate lockdown of Sector 2B and the arrival of the Frontiersmen. TSA orders are to ensure the Kharaa are removed from the entire facility and then to begin research into potential strategic advantages of the properties of the rings. Changelog --------- VERSION 1 (14/05/09) - A final polish to get the level up to standard. - Bugfixes and minor adjustments galore. Beta 9 (13/05/09) - Added a new alien-only pathway from the hive to Transmissions Junction. - Reworked Absolution to solve problems with line-of-sight into the MS. The reception desk is repositioned as a result and now in a more logical place. - Updated location names to reflect the new hive room. Transmissions Atrium is now Incandescence Atrium. - Added new ambient sounds for new locations. - Fixed bug in easter egg that was causing the players to be pushed in the wrong direction. Updated easter egg slightly. Beta 8 (2006-2009) - Added a new hive to solve problems with Transmissions Atrium being a haven for jetpack marines. Transmissions Atrium is now the main junction before reaching the hive. Also added new hallways leading to the hive &c. - Added more fog sprites in various places. - A few other small changes to improve gameplay. Beta 7 (05/06/05) - Improved waterfall in hive. - Fixed existing ambient sounds and added new ones. - Made the inaccessible room in MS/Hub Junction look as though it goes somewhere. - Stopped the player going outside in the RR. - A few small measures to lower r_speeds. Beta 6 (11/05/05) - Fixed lighting and particle systems in readyroom. - Fixed clipping issue with chairs in RR and MS. - Revamped the CC/Armoury area to make it less cramped. Beta 5 (15/02/05) - Extended readyroom. - Extended the walkways in the hive and added a ladder. - Replaced the armoury behind the weldable near the hive with an unbuilt observatory (this is experimental). Beta 4 (31/10/04) - Small aesthetic changes and bugfixes. Beta 3 (31/10/04) - Added an easter egg. - Changed the area that used to be The Chasm to lower line-of-sight and remove the pit near the marine spawn. - New hive with better entrances. - Changed the hub; added detail. Beta 2 (18/09/04) - Added a proper readyroom. - Fixed armoury placement - it now has lightdata. - Fixed the trigger_hurt at the bottom of The Chasm - it now harms skulks. - Lowered the console at Reception. - Particle System glitch behind the console seems to have disappeared.
